Elefun
Information
Motorised elephant blows colourful butterflies into the air.
Practice catching skills with the handy butterfly net or gather them where they land\r\nAdorable baby elephant is over 4’ tall during play.
Suitable for up to 4 players
Good Points
I haven't found the same problems most people are plagued with which is the butterflies getting stuck on mass. Sure sometimes they don't all rush out like they do in the TV advert but if they did this game would be over in half the time which as the game only generally lasts 30 seconds would be even more disappointing.
Good fun for the kids when it is on but you need to keep reloading it to keep their attention.

Leapfrog Leapster 2
Information
Available in Green and Pink
Winner of Practical Preschool Gold Award 2008 and RightStart Silver Award 2008. Children learn school skills from the animated games, interactive touch screen and stylus.
Introduces children to maths, language, reading and basic science
Good Points
My boy loves this. It is an educational toy but introduces it all in a fun way so he doesn't even realise he's learning things.
I bought it for him when he was 3 despite it saying for ages 4 to 8 and he had no problems using it. As he's got older he has become more proficient at setting up the games etc and now gets it out and plays with it on his own.
Works using a cartridge system for the games and these tend to be a bit pricey however we have built up his games over time by finding special offers (usually you can find the games being sold at 50% of actual price) UPDATE: Second son loves it too and even though the eldest has grown out of it now he still plays with it from time to time.
Bad Points
Costly at full price - try to get it at under £40 - hence only good rating for value for money.
Graphics are a bit basic but despite this our son loves it as much as the Nintendo DS and with this one he's learning stuff whilst playing.

Gator Golf
Information
Putt the golf ball in the gator\'s mouth and he'll use his tail to toss it back to you. Comes with 2 balls and side storage for the clubs. You can keep score on the handle
Good Points
Introduces children to golf with a putter return system that does work well and doesn't use batteries.Quite robust and clubs break down for storage.
Bad Points
Side storage for golf clubs not really that practical. Novelty of this product wore off very quickly and it has not been played with very much.
I think it would be better for two children to play rather than one on its own and my son has only played it when daddy has a go too.
UPDATE: Used more when my second son was born and they have used it together a lot more

One Life Nappies
Information
One life nappies are a two piece nappy system designed to fit the baby from birth to potty training. UPDATE: One Life brand is no longer trading however these nappies are still for sale in some outlets and the price generally reflects this
Good Points
I bought these for my second son as I\'d seen other reviews that said they were good. I purchased the birth to potty pack which saved about 50% of the cost of using disposables.
They have been very good with leakage comparable to the Bambino Mio nappies used for my first son.
They are a lot easier to use than the Bambino Mio as there was no folding of the inner nappy.
Bad Points
Like any cotton nappy they tend to hold liquid next to the babys skin and my 8 month old developed a nappy rash however this persisted when we switched to disposables so may not be as a result of the One Life Nappies.
